Glimpses of Life Passing By

After a long pause in making photographs, I've begun taking my digital camera along with me, shooting what appears, or at least opens my eye for a moment of recognition.  I've discovered (again) that practice is more important than plan.  The more I shoot, the easier it becomes.

At Saint's Cafe in State College, Pennsylvania.  Looking across the room at the familiar strangers.

On a walk, catching myself in the glass of an office building -- evidence that I'm still here.

Chuck and Dennis, State College characters, interrupted by the camera.

Tracks in the snow at the Stan Yoder Preserve in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania.

The Lily Hammer -- impervious to snow and cold.  I wish I could say the same myself.

Tennis balls in a bucket -- frozen and out of commission for two ball-obsessed dogs.

A moment too late leaves the police car in the wrong place in the frame...

A planting of trees that I revisit often -- still looking for the photograph that will allow me to move on.

Cold morning dog walk with the essentials -- a Chuck-it for throwing and heavy boots for my tender feet.

The Lily Hammer with her most prized possession.

 Zen garden on our porch.
